Basically there is one place in the United States that sets the standards fro yoga teaching, this is the Yoga Alliance. If you want to learn how to become a yoga instructor, the classes or programs you should be taking will follow the standards set by this organization. There are two type of courses set for Yoga instructor training by the Yoga alliance. There is a 200 hour course, which is the minimum course that is set for most yoga studios, and there is a 500 hour course which is for more of an advanced regimen. Once you complete the course set by the Yoga alliance, you will be a Registered Yoga Teacher, or RYT.

Learning how to become a yoga teacher can sound like a lot of work. Well, it actually is a lot of work.
